About Townes & Murray
A little bit about us: Townes & Murray is named after my two grandfathers, who first showed me the beauty of tending a garden.
What they planted in the soil, they planted in me: patience, pride, and a deep love for slow, careful growth.
From their gardens to my own, growing has always been something more than a hobby. It has been a way to connect, remember, and create something that lasts.
Granddad Townes had a garden that felt endless when I was a child, over 500 feet of flowers, fruit, and vegetables grown alongside my Nanna, living closely to the land. Outside their home stood a small honesty box where neighbours would stop to buy what they had grown.
Each summer, they would open their gates and host a garden party for the village. Every garden is in bloom. Every flower proudly shown. Those warm afternoons remain some of my most treasured memories.
Granddad Murray’s garden was smaller, but no less carefully kept. I remember him slipping off to the greenhouse, often for a cheeky cigarette he thought went unnoticed, and me following behind. He would press a square of Dairy Milk into my hand while we picked flowers for the table or gently deadheaded the roses together.
That is where my love of gardening began.
Townes & Murray grows slowly, thoughtfully, and with intention, just like the flowers it creates.
This brand began in my own garden, with my hands in the soil and a deep desire to create something meaningful. Not something mass-produced or rushed, but something that invites people to pause, breathe, and reconnect with nature, with themselves, and with hope.
Why Seed Paper?
Seed paper is a reminder that growth takes time.
Every piece is handmade by me in small batches, using recycled paper and seeds harvested from my own garden. These seeds have been nurtured, cared for, and grown with love before they ever become part of your card. Nothing here is accidental. Nothing is rushed.
When you plant one of our cards, you’re not just growing flowers; you’re participating in a quiet process. One that asks for patience, care, and trust in what’s happening beneath the surface.
I love the idea that something once read, held, and cherished can be returned to the earth and transformed into life.
